Let’s build a connection 💋

Let's build a connection 💋

The sudden crowds of people around me were making me sick… the feeling of claustrophobia began to overwhelm me within seconds.

I’m in shock.

Human society breaks down before my eyes. And the idea of some sort of humane compassion becomes a distance memory.

Let’s build a connection 💋

There is a wild rush for something. Just as vultures desperately attack and steal the carcass from a cheetah in the wild.

…and then the lions steal the carcass from the greedy vultures, a constant power struggle is taking place before my eyes.

In fact, it was a rush for survival.

Or so it seemed…

I find myself in the busiest district in the world, on an important day of the retail calendar year, and in a luxury department store.

I bear witness to thousands upon thousands of people circulating around me, like bees in a hive.

Welcome to Oxford Street, London.

It is a lovely spring day in the month of May of 2019.

There’s a famous saying about London, “one doesn’t need to travel the world, when the world travels to him”.

And that was exactly the feeling that I had on that day, except with much more pessimistic undertones.

But quite ironically, the current lockdown period has really made me reflect on that nightmare of a day last year.

Because if it wasn’t for the coronavirus induced quarantine… I would be there, once again, feeling those same reproachful emotions I felt on that day.

Feeling the same anger, and agitation, that I felt on that lovely sunny spring day.

Quite paradoxically, I would long to be there right now, and to be feeling those same emotions.

And in some sadistic way, I do miss the stuffy crowds, and the buzz and excitement flowing through the air that I experienced around me.

So look.. I’ve decided to share something with you this upcoming Sunday.

Let’s build a connection 💋

Because I want you to feel the gratitude and the longing that I feel right now, and how my reality, understanding and appreciation of past events has drastically changed.

It’s my way of showing you my inner world. Showing you how I felt about entertaining those crowds back in 2019.

So we can be there once again, if not in body, then in mind and spirit.

And most importantly, it will bring us and connect us closer together like never before.

Speak soon.
