Hi Guys it’s Iain and Annabel here, and Today we’re going to talk about how to deal with jealousy in dating.
Jealousy is a dangerous emotion and it’s also a peace braker. If you don’t deal with this emotion it will affect your dating life. In order to understand more, you must understand what is involved.
Jealousy in dating
It is an emotion involving negative thoughts and feelings such as fear, anxiety, and insecurity. It brings along resentment and anger towards someone who you deem to be advantaged over you, with regard to something or someone. Jealousy is common in relationships. It is seen in children as well as adults.
People tend to get jealous for weird reasons some of which are petty. Handling jealousy requires carefulness lest you worsen the already bad situation. Nothing good comes of jealousy. People have sent others to the grave for this. Anyway, there is still hope for those having this problem.
Before going into how you can deal with jealousy, I advise that we look at the root cause of the emotion. It may be due to some lovelorn person or some bad experience the person has had. It is self-defense being able to recognise it.
Sometimes it is difficult to differentiate between jealousy and insecurity. It should be a good start in handling it once you are able to point at it. On establishing the root cause, try understanding why you feel this way. The other person may help you.
Work towards understanding that which brings up such feelings. I always ask my self; what is making me jealous? Why am I reacting in that way? To find more about the emotion and understand myself.
